Highway Asset Technicians
We are seeking two enthusiastic and self-motivated Highway Asset Technicians to provide technical support to the highway maintenance function.
You will assist in the identification of future maintenance schemes and coordinate activities with other work programmes such as new developments and special events.
You will also support policy and programme development, by specifying and supervising major work streams, ensuring that schemes are delivered on time and to budget.
Finally you will provide support to other highway officers in auditing of works to ensure compliance against specifications and ensuring that the county council fulfils its roles and responsibilities, and provides value for money.
You must have a Level 3 qualification in a Construction/Engineering discipline and demonstrate a sound knowledge of highway procedures, highway maintenance strategy, policies and procedures, relevant legislation and specifications. You will also have good written and verbal communication skills and be competent with a range of IT software and enjoy working in an innovative environment.
