Independent Town Planning Consultancy

£20,000 - £25,000 + full benefits package

Penguin are pleased to be working with an independent Town Planning Consultancy in Salisbury who require a dynamic professional Graduate Town Planner to work in a young, talented and motivated planning team on projects across the South coast.

Seen as an excellent entry position, key duties for the role includes:-

  • Attending site investigations alongside a Senior team members, assessing planning potential and looking into historical precedents and planning restrictions affecting all developments.
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting documents, working closely with the client, keeping them informed of progress both verbal and written including the appeal process.
  • Working well as part of the team, but also where required independently, keeping to project deadlines and maintaining our clients high standard of work and delivery.
  • Keeping up to date on all planning legislations and potential changes in the industry, including local plans, whilst maintaining a log book of all work carried out for future submission.

The planning department cover a wide range of work from working with developers to gain consent for large residential schemes or change of use of complicated listed buildings, to householder extensions.

The Planner will be supported through their APC, have a mentor to work alongside and be given the opportunity to develop within the organisation taking on more responsibility.
