Graduate Flood Risk Consultant- Burgess Hill
My client, a market leading multidisciplinary Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Graduate Consultant to join their friendly and supportive Team of flood risk specialists based in Burgess Hill.
This exciting opportunity will offer Graduate candidates the opportunity to be trained by a specialist team of Hydrologists and Flood Risk Engineers to complete varied Flood Risk, Flood Alleviation, Hydraulic Modelling, River and Surface Water Drainage Projects for Local Authorities, Water Companies, Private Sector Clients and Government Bodies.
As a Graduate Consultant you will be trained and supported to complete Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Flood Estimation using FEH, Winfap and ReFH and Hydraulic Modelling, Model Build, Verification using Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow.

Candidates are required to have a MSc, BSc and or PhD in a relevant Hydrological or Modelling focused discipline (e.g. Hydrology, River Basin Dynamics or Civil Engineering) and have experience using Hydraulic Modelling packages including Flood Modeller Pro, Tuflow or Hec-ras through academic modules of work experience.
Applicants are required to have a keen interest in Flood Risk, Surface Water and Hydraulic Modelling and have an awareness of Flood Estimation and/or Drainage Strategy.
It is beneficial for applicants to have experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk or Coastal Projects.
