Head of Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management

The Borough of Poole, which is the Lead Local Flood Authority, the Coast Protection Authority and the Land Drainage Authority for the town, is looking to recruit to a new post to lead the creation and development of a new partnership for a joint Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management service with neighbouring Councils.
The post holder will work closely with senior management of the Councils who join the partnership to establish effective working relationships and establish the partnership on a firm basis.
We are looking for a leader who is determined, enthusiastic and committed to providing strategic direction and collaboration in a new and developing partnership arrangement with the ambition to work with other Councils to provide a comprehensive and responsive service for all partners.
You will have the opportunity to shape the direction of this service to help protect the local environment. You will be able to bring extensive experience in the areas of flood management and coastal engineering and a thorough understanding of the funding and regulatory considerations related to working in these fields.
