We are seeking a Fire Engineer to support delivery of fire safety design packages and projects, primarily in the Tunnels, Transportation and Built Environment market sectors.

CH2M fire safety engineers provide design advice on a range of high profile UK tunnels projects including Crossrail, Silvertown, Lower Thames Crossing, and Thames Tideway. The team is also leading the fire safety and ventilation design for several major road tunnels and metro systems in the United States and the Middle East. You will also provide fire safety consultancy across the business groups on a range of projects in the property, nuclear and environmental sectors.

You will be working within multi-disciplinary design teams to develop coordinated designs and will be involved in the development of fire strategies, fire risk assessments, evacuation calculations and smoke control strategies. You will liaise with clients and the Fire Service to obtain approvals etc. and support the fire precautions approval process (BB224) through LUL and the Fire Authority.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

Candidates will have a degree in Fire Safety Engineering (or a related subject) and will have experience in the delivery of fire safety solutions on transportation and infrastructure projects (tunnels, stations, airports would be an advantage).
