Crawley Council is a forward thinking progressive organisation with a confirmed capital works programme. The delivery of projects to a high quality and on time are vital to its strategy to enhance the environment within which Crawley residents live.

With your experience, technical expertise in project management and construction you will play a vital part in the delivery of the Councils capital programme.

As a vital member of the Built Environment Team within the Property Division, you will assist the Built Environment Manager in the coordination and monitoring of the capital projects being undertaken. As a member of the team, you will also be a Contract Manager dealing with a range of individual Civil Engineering Projects that will include projects including infrastructure for a cemetery, town centre hard landscaping Improvements, drainage improvements, car parking, road and Residential improvements. You will manage, co-ordinate and control all activities associated with the day to day Contract Management of these type of projects.

As a member of the ICE (MICE) you will have some experience of project programming and working on a varied range of Civil Engineering Contracts. This post has a career grade and as such the Council would consider graduates with some relevant experience as well as fully qualified Engineers. The ability to use CAD for concept and feasibility design will be advantageous.
