My client, a international multidisciplinary Environmental Consultancy which specialises in Flood Risk, Hydrology, Hydraulic Modelling and Coastal Engineering, is searching for a Coastal Consultant to join their team of specialists based in Birmingham.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in Civil, Coastal and Structural Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing River and Coastal Projects designing Weirs, Embankments, Coastal Sea Defence, Sea Walls, Fish Pass Design, Riverside Structures and/or Quays.

It is beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing on-shore and off-shore wave transformation analysis.

This exciting opportunity will offer you the chance to join a friendly and supportive team of specialists based in Birmingham to complete Coastal, Tidal and River Projects for Local Authorities, Government Bodies and Private Sector Clients.

As a Coastal Consultant you will required to complete complex Projects, mentor team members and complete technical work including;

-Coastal Flood Risk Assessments.

-Project Appraisal Reports for Coastal Flooding Projects.

-On-shore and off-shore Wave Transformation Analysis.

-Joint Probability Analysis and Coastal Analysis

-Detailed design of Coastal Sea Defence, Sea Walls, Ports, Harbours, Riverside Structures and Quays.

-Detailed Design of Weirs, Embankments and Fish Passes.

-Sediment Studies, modelling and numerical analysis.
