Monitoring Scientist - Cheltenham
My client, an independent, multi-disciplinary Environmental Consultancy, is seeking an enthusiastic Monitoring Scientist to join their expanding team, based near Cheltenham.
This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to monitor ground investigations on a variety of projects, including residential housing developments and large infrastructure projects throughout the UK.
Candidates must have strong scientific A-Levels and a keen interest in data monitoring, interpretation and analysis.
Having a degree in a relevant discipline such as Geology, Seismology or Environmental Sciences would be beneficial
As a Monitoring Consultant, your responsibilities will include:
- Attending sites to check sites and to install monitoring equipment within boreholes
- Monitoring gas and water data
- Obtaining data for interpretation and analysis
- Providing notes on data collected
- Reporting to an experienced engineer
Previous experience within a monitoring position would be advantageous, but is not a necessity.
This role offers a competitive salary and full training will be provided.
As the successful candidate would be required to visit sites away from the office, applicants are required to have a full, clean UK driver's licence. Access to a company van or car can be arranged.
Commutable locations include: Gloucester, Taunton, Bristol, Swindon, Salisbury and Oxford.
