Monitoring Technician - Bath
My client, a leading independent, multi-disciplinary Environmental Consultancy, is seeking an enthusiastic Monitoring Technician to join their expanding team, based near Bath.
This exciting role will enable you to monitor gas and water ground investigations on a variety of projects, including residential housing developments and large infrastructure projects throughout the UK.
As a Monitoring Technician, you will be expected to:
- Attend sites to install monitoring equipment within boreholes
- Monitor gas and water data
- Obtain data for interpretation and analysis
- Provide notes on data collected
- Report to an experienced engineer
Knowledge of borehole logging and previous experience within a monitoring role would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Candidates must have strong A-Levels in Science, Geography or Geology and have a keen interest in data monitoring, interpretation and analysis.
Having a degree in a relevant discipline such as Geology, Seismology or Environmental Sciences would be beneficial.
This role offers a competitive salary and full training will be provided.
As the successful candidate would be required to visit sites away from the office, applicants are required to have a full, clean UK driver's licence. Access to a company van or car can be arranged.
Commutable locations include: Gloucester, Taunton, Bristol, Swindon, Salisbury and Chippenham.
