About the role

Here at the Canal & River Trust, we know life’s better by the water. We also know that conservation, sustainable development and enhancement of the natural environment are key to our success in maintaining the inland waterway work and ensuring our waterways are fit for modern-day use. As our Cost and Estimating Manager, you’ll make sure we continue do this as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Joining our Asset Improvement Team, you’ll provide specialist estimating and cost management support - producing cost estimates, intelligence and solutions. From contributing to the effective development and delivery of construction and engineering works, to supporting our winter works programme and overseeing early engagement in development projects and detailed designs, you’ll ensure the smooth running of them all.

About you

Alongside a relevant degree level qualification, you’ll need a post-graduate level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, and membership of a relevant chartered body (i.e. MICE, RICS). You should also have experience of managing NEC3 contracts, excellent project and contract management skills, and a flair for multi-disciplinary working.
