Intermediate Civil / Environmental Design Engineers– Three Waters

The Opportunity

About You
You will have a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with around 3 plus years’ postgraduate experience in:

  • The design of wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines and land disposal systems for industrial and municipal water or wastewater projects.
  • Civil works design.
  • Supervision of investigation and construction of works.
  • Management of construction contracts including tender preparation, contractor evaluation, budget management, invoice reconciliation and works certification.
  • Managing projects by co-ordinating subcontractors and liaising with regulators and client contacts.
  • Design of water and stormwater treatment systems, pump stations, pipelines and irrigation infrastructure.
  • Writing reports on technical work.

Senior Civil/Environmental Design Engineers – Three Waters

Role based in Auckland

The Opportunity
Based in the Auckland office, this would suit a Senior Civil/Environmental Design Engineer who has gained wide experience with Three Waters who is looking to continue in a generalist role.

In this role, you will be working in the established Auckland Water Infrastructure team on a range of high-end projects through the whole project lifecycle.  This will include tenders, construction contracts, design for treatment plants pipelines and municipal water/wastewater through to site supervision and investigations.

Working across a range of wastewater projects, you will have the opportunity to manage projects right through from investigations and concept development into detailed design, construction and commissioning.

About You
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Natural Resources or Environmental Engineering
  • Hold at least 10 years post graduate experience in water supply, wastewater and/or stormwater.
  • Ideally hold Chartered Engineer registration
  • Ability to technically lead investigations, feasibility studies and detailed designs, prepare contract documents and manage contracts
  • Experience of designing water infrastructure such as Detention Tanks, Pumping Stations and Pipework etc.
  • Knowledge in the design and delivery of 3 waters infrastructure
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Quality and detail focussed

Senior Civil CAD Technician

Role based in Auckland

The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for someone seeking to join a friendly and social team in a role that provides responsibility for leading the delivery of CAD projects and mentoring junior CAD staff. 

Working closely with engineers, environmental specialists and project managers, you will be creating quality drawings and documentation, assisting in preparation, review and checking and issuing of drawings for clients within the project deadlines.

About You
It is likely that you will hold a minimum 6 plus years’ experience working as a CAD Technician in the Civil Engineering sector and able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of draughting for the Water Infrastructure industry.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills.
  • A proactive approach to work load planning, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Any 12d and/or Civil 3D experience would be highly advantageous, but not essential.
