Opportunities have arisen in Engineering within Moray Council’s Environmental & Commercial Service Department in Elgin in the north east of Scotland. The opportunities are:

 

Engineer - Bridges and Structures MOR04603 - (£35,570 to £39,472 dependant on qualifications and experience)
The successful applicant will be a member of Moray Council’s engineering design team of reporting to the Senior Engineer. Typical duties will include bridge assessment and maintenance, structural assessment and design, and project and contract Applicants should have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with at least two years post graduate experience.

Engineer – Flood Risk Management MOR04604 - (£35,570 to £39,472 dependant on qualifications and experience)
The successful applicant will be a member of Moray Council’s engineering design team reporting to the Senior Engineer. This opportunity involves providing technical expertise in delivering civil engineering schemes for the Council primarily relating to Flood Risk Management. Good communication skills and flexibility of approach will be important aspects in fulfilling the requirement of this post. We are looking for an engineer with a degree in Civil or relevant subject who has at least two years post graduate experience in Flood Risk Management.

Technician - Flood Risk Management MOR04599 - (£23,920 - £33,081 dependant on qualifications and experience)
The successful applicant will be a member of Moray Council’s engineering design team reporting to the Senior Engineer. This opportunity involves providing technical support in delivering civil engineering schemes for the Council primarily relating to Flood Risk Management. The successful candidate should be able to communicate well and support engineers and management team in the delivery of our duties. We are looking for a technician with a HNC or above in Civil or relevant subject preferably with exposure to Flood Risk Management.

Engineer –Transportation MOR04608 - (£23,920 - £39,472 dependant on qualifications and experience)
An Opportunity has arisen with in the Transportation Section for an Engineer who will be part of a team of professional and technical staff, providing transport policy input to the Council’s strategies, policies and functions, and specialist advice in relation to development control including advising developers on the requirements of the Council. Duties include undertaking site visits throughout the Moray area, including part of the Cairngorms National Park.
