Head of Asset Management

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Head of Asset Management within Merseytravel.
The Asset Management Service Area is responsible for the development and delivery of assets including the two Tunnels, Head Office, Ferry Terminals, Bus Stations and Bus Infrastructure on-street.
The Head of Asset Management will be a visible, innovative and important leader of key functions across the remit of Asset Management and will be responsible for the development and management of major capital schemes across all Merseytravel areas, as well as leading the department, which employs nearly 200 multi-disciplinary staff.
As a Professional Member of a construction/engineering related profession, candidates will be expected to possess and demonstrate;
· Managerial experience in a multi-discipliniary contract management environment.
· Experience of programme and project resource management, inlcuding risk and budget management.
· Strong leadership and project management skills.
· Commercial awareness.
· Ability to negotiate and manage commercial contracts.
· Long term strategic planning and delivery.
