Highways Infrastructure Manager

This business-critical post is pivotal in the successful delivery of the City Council’s infrastructure projects, programmes and highway related services. It also aims at supporting the development and implementation of a robust highway asset management regime.
As a senior member of the Highways Services Division, the post holder’s responsibilities will include;
- Delivering major bridge strengthening schemes,
- Asset management planning and providing professional technical advice,
- Meeting the City Council’s statutory obligations as the highway authority. You will be a professional with a proven track record of managing and delivering infrastructure schemes, working knowledge of whole life cost planning and highway authority obligations.
- The role requires excellent management, organisational, interpersonal and influencing skills with a strong technical knowledge and drive. You will be managing a strategic function and will have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with key service providers, contractors, business partners and other service users with the aim of improving efficiency and outcomes whilst supporting the Council’s policies, aspirations and direction of travel.
