Nexus has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join the Nexus Engineering Department at our offices in Gosforth. Within this role you can enjoy 28 days annual leave plus public holidays, family friendly policies, defined benefit pension scheme and much more.
As the Principal Engineer (C&S) you will be responsible for assessing the condition and specifying the renewal of a wide range of assets, mainly associated with the Tyne and Wear Metro System. Creating and updating relevant standards, advising front line teams and working with internal and external suppliers.
Your portfolio of technical skills will include experience of a variety of assets including bridges, earthworks, tunnels, stations, depots and retaining walls. Chartered Engineer status is desirable but not essential, neither is general railway experience as appropriate training will be given.
