This role can be based in either our Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London or Newcastle offices – with hybrid working supported.

As a Principal Civil Engineer who will develop and lead civil engineering design teams working on various projects across the Energy Transmission and Distribution sector. You will work closely with other multi-disciplinary teams and take a lead on FEED and detailed design for new-build substations, refurbishment/extensions and other related infrastructure.

Our team is fully flexible and based across different offices in the UK; this is an opportunity to shape and develop a transmission and distribution team that delivers technically and plays an important part in the energy transition.
You will have a good understanding of the electricity transmission and distribution industry, be proactive in building your knowledge and have a track record of supporting more junior team members. You will be engaged in the engineering community and understand how we can drive success for our clients, including understanding innovative civil engineering solutions and industry best practices.
As a Principal / Senior Civil Engineer within our Energy division, you will have prior experience of the design of substations, and a wider awareness of other typical HV civil engineering projects.
