Stakeholder Manager - Highways Division - Derby

We are looking to recruit a Stakeholder Manager within the BAM Nuttall Highways Division team to support delivery of the £11 billion Roads Investment Programme in partnership with Highways England.

The successful candidate will be working on the A38 Derby Junctions scheme until 2025.

We would welcome applications for this role from candidates with a non-engineering, customer service background, however knowledge or experience of civil engineering projects would be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will be able demonstrate their ability to manage and liaise effectively with a large number of stakeholders and have a strong customer focus. Evidence of dispute resolution, experience of managing complex relationships with multiple stakeholders to ensure a high performing project will be required. Knowledge of construction safety, quality and environmental standards would also be an advantage.

Who are we looking for?

Role responsibilities:
Client, Stakeholder and local business/resident liaison
Liaison with Local Authority highways departments and our Traffic Management teams
Arranging land access requests through landowners and Land Agents
Producing and delivering presentations to Stakeholders
Producing stakeholder update letters and emails
Producing e-Bulletins and Project Newsletters
Maintaining Stakeholder and Correspondence Tracker records
Attending meetings and producing minutes
Planning communications strategies through various channels
Dealing with complaints/queries and providing written responses
Arranging and attending local school visits
Conducting site tours for visitors
Charity events and projects co-ordination
Coordinating the Considerate Constructors Scheme visit process
Maintaining Social Value records
Producing and evidencing Contractor Performance Framework documents
Capture good practice & good news stories from site

The successful candidate will;

• Live within commuting distance of Derby
• Have a full driving licence
• Have worked in similar role or have extensive Customer Service background
• Have excellent IT (excel/MS Word minimum) and written skills

This is a full time, site based role. Working hours would typically be 8am to 5pm, however periodic attendance at evening local authority and Parish Council etc meetings will be required.
