Technical Reporter- New Civil Engineer
Fundamentally New Civil Engineer exists to enable infrastructure professionals to better themselves and the companies they work for so that they are equipped to deliver the infrastructure that is needed by their clients and by society at large.

About the role:
You will have a civil engineering-related degree with a talent for writing, this is an opportunity to train on the job as a journalist starting as a junior reporter. Through working with our team, you will learn to write precise, accurate copy that can be used by professional engineers to enhance their careers. These will be news stories as well as longer in-depth features. The role will involve working closely with industry partners to ensure that content is useful, actionable and of clear interest to our readers.
A team player with the ability to work independently. You will be a creative thinker able to generate original ideas and have a passion for the built environment. Inquisitive and a good communicator you will have excellent written English, previous experience is highly advantageous.
Day to day news desk contributions through writing news stories and longer news insight pieces, building contacts, sourcing stories and bringing in industry exclusives.
Research, write and generate ideas for features and in-depth reports, providing background and summaries of key industry topics, carrying out research, writing & editing copy.
Develop New Civil Engineer’s multi-media content, including video.
