We are looking for an experienced Programme Director to lead the next phase of our hospital capital expansion programme.
Evelina London Children’s Hospital is the second largest provider of children’s services in London, providing secondary acute services to the local area, and an almost comprehensive portfolio of specialist services to South London and South East England. In 2016 we were the first children’s hospital in England to be rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC.
Evelina London is an impressive and iconic building that opened its doors in 2005; bringing together the specialist children’s services at Guy’s with the local children’s services at St. Thomas’. Over the last 10 years activity through the hospital has doubled and we have expanded a number of our facilities within existing buildings. The next phase of our plans is a significant expansion of hospital and academic facilities on our St. Thomas site, seeking to place clinical excellence, functionality and vision at the heart of design.
As the Programme Director you will lead the clinical and managerial programme team, and coordinate the wider workstreams and governance structure, to successfully develop and deliver our vision and investment case..
We are looking for a Programme Director with significant experience of the development and delivery of business cases for complex capital schemes and the ability to lead strategically and effectively across a variety of stakeholders and workstreams. Your proven leadership abilities will be supported by robust financial skills and business awareness. Most importantly you will bring a depth of capital experience, vision and creative thinking to ensure we develop a scheme that meets the needs of our leading clinical services and offers a clear foundation for the future of children’s healthcare.
