GEO-ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER - SHEFFIELD- £COMPETITIVE
An exciting opportunity has arisen with our established and successful client for a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the team in their new Sheffield offices.
Our client are a Civil & Structural consultancy service with an excellent track record, providing their services to both UK and Middle East, across all market sectors including both public and commercial projects.
The successful Geo - Environmental engineer will be degree qualified in a relevant subject such as Engineering Geology, Geotechnics or Environmental science. Preferably you will hold a master's degree in Environmental science or a similar subject. In addition to this, you should either be working towards or have obtained a relevant chartership qualification. You will also have a minimum of three years commercial experience of site investigation.
As a Geo-Environmental Engineer with our client you will have a varied workload. Your duties will be broad and as such you must be competent in all areas. However you will expected to be particularly proficient in
- Phase 1 desk studies
- Phase 2 ground investigation management and reporting
- Risk assessment reporting for groundwater, soil and gas
- Preparation of remediation strategy and validation reports
