We are currently recruiting for a Clerk of Works for the Highways Agreements team to work on a full-time contract. This role is largely a site based role out of Keynsham however flexible working patterns are available.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to ensure the delivery of our s38 and s278 highway works for extensive walking and cycling routes, estate roads as well as the accesses to our new communities, making sure new Developer led infrastructure is delivered to a high standard.
The role sits within a wider Highway Agreements team reviewing Technical Approvals with the support of specialists such as our signals engineer, lighting engineer in Highways undertaking joint inspections. It is expected that this role will continue and strengthen our existing joint working arrangements.
About you
You will be the Engineers eyes and ears on the ground ensuring highway works are carried out to specification so attention to detail and engineering knowledge are key. The role is ideally suited to someone with a practical background in highway works or as a first step into a career in highway engineering. A driving license is essential for this role.
Your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away.
