Project Engineer / Construction CRE - York
We are currently working on a multi-year multi-disciplinary Framework with Network Rail. The Framework is based and administered form our offices in Kilsyth, just outside Glasgow. The Framework will run until March 2024.
We require a Civils Project Engineer. suitably experienced and with previous successful appointments as a Construction CRE for various single and multi-disciplinary projects. The PE/CRE will be responsible for ensuring the Project Requirements (Civils) are understood and will technically review Designer Submissions and advise the CEM of the maturity and compliance of the Design(s) for Grips 2 - 5. From Grip 6 onwards the PE/CRE(c) will be responsible for the Inspection, Technical Assurance and Engineering Lead (on behalf of the CEM) for all site based activities including the review and endorsement of Work Package Plans, Site based Design Change and management of Civils based Sub Contracted Organisations. The PE/CRE will attend Mid Design Review (MDR) meetings, Inter disciplinary Design Check meetings (IDC), Critical Design Review Meetings (CDR), undertake Constructability and Safe in Design Reviews.
Who are we looking for?
A strong team based ethos is required to sit alongside experience and technical acumen. Full understanding of Network Rail process and Standards for the Civils discipline is essential and a demonstrable comprehensive understanding of 02009 is mandatory. Previous experience working on network rail associated work is essential.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
• Degree, HND in Engineering or equivalent
• Experience working as PM or Senior Agent with Civil Engineering contracting. Experience in the rail environment would be beneficial.
• Must be able to demonstrate leadership and management capabilities commensurate with such a role.
• Detailed working knowledge of the civils construction environment and forms of contract used.
• Experience of working in project development and delivery (Design & Build).
