Gemech Engineering are specialist Civil Engineering Contractors engaged in foundation
design, Unifound building platforms, new and retrofit basements and structural frames for
the domestic and commercial markets.
Although we can trace its roots back to 1979, we constructed our first basement 30 years
ago and have since constructed over 250 basement projects in London and the Home
Counties.
We have no mission statement, no corporate mumbo jumbo, just 30 years of practical
experience in how to engineer and build the very best basements money can buy.

We are now wishing to recruit a degree qualified Engineer who is Chartered or about to
become Chartered within the next twelve months.

The successful candidate need not have experience in the basement construction sector but
must be able to demonstrated superior engineering skills, commercial acumen, and the
ability to manage client expectations.

Duties will include;

• Client facing project surveys

• Pricing Tender submissions

• Commissioning and assessment of Permanent Works

• Design of Temporary Works

• A commercial understanding of project costing

• Control of project costs

Salary and other benefits will be commensurate with this position but unlikely to be less
than circa £80,000 per annum.

This is no ordinary appointment and is likely to attract a consummate professional with a
belief in their own ability to succeed and one day lead this business and, in the process,
achieve personal, professional and commercial success.
