Since 2002 we’ve owned and operated Britain’s rail infrastructure. There are over 33,000 of us, all responsible for a nationwide network of railways, signals, bridges, tunnels, electrified lines and eighteen of the country’s biggest stations. It’s a big responsibility: 2.75 million people every day rely on us.
And we don’t want to stop there. We’re constantly looking to improve the network and the services we provide. That’s why we have a number of major projects on the horizon – the redevelopment of King’s Cross Station for more than £400million, and the ambitious £5.5billion Thameslink project to dramatically improve London’s transport system, are just two examples of this massive investment in our ambitions.
And there’s more to come. The responsibilities are massive. The challenges are plentiful. And the reward is huge. We hope you’re ready.
