Our client is a leading natural and built asset design and consultancy firm working in partnership with their clients to deliver exceptional and sustainable outcomes through the application of design, consultancy, engineering, project and management services. The rail team is involved in some of the UK's most high profile, complex and stimulating projects that are diverse and technical. Current clients include local authorities, water companies and network contractors for whom they undertake the planning, design and supervision of infrastructure engineering solutions for a range of projects such as rail electrification, station upgrades and structures.

An inviting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Safety Risk Management (SRM) Consultant working in the rail sector. As a member of the Strategic Environmental Consulting team, you will be required undertake and provide consultancy on Engineering Safety Management associated with the design of mainline and metro railway schemes.

To be considered for this Safety Risk Management Consultant role you need;

  • Recent experience of the application of Engineering Safety Management knowledge.
  • Skills in the rail sector in a number of environments including; Main line railways, train tunnels, control centres, subsurface stations.
  • Experience in other sectors such as Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Chem/Pharma, Defence, Energy, Aviation would be useful.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Deep technical knowledge.
  • Sharp commercial focus.
  • Ability to advise clients on strategic business decisions.
  • the ability to actively identify and pursue innovative and sustainable solutions to problems.
  • Commitment to building relationships with clients & colleagues.
  • The ability to add value to a client relationship and develop client accounts.
  • Commitment to actively nurtures talent in others by helping people build their networks, and coach and mentor others and share knowledge.
