Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader in Transportation Planning/Design/Engineering Grade 7/8/9

£33,518 - £64,080 pa

Applications are welcome from those with a strong and recognised research background in transportation planning and design at the local/city/intra-city level across different modes (pedestrian, roads, rail etc.), with particular emphasis on one or more of digital techniques and methods, cyber-physical systems, resilience, sustainability (inc. low carbon) and/or wellbeing. You will have research experience in an academic (or industrial research) environment, including the publication of influential papers in leading academic journals and a record of attracting external research funding from a range of sources. The two themes of “Digital” and “Creativity” are central to the development of our future teaching and research. Therefore candidates who can actively contribute to our new “Centre for the Digital Built Environment” will be favourably assessed. Your enthusiasm in your research should be accompanied by an interest in lecturing and teaching and it should be demonstrable that your teaching has enhanced creativity within student experience. You should have a PhD in a relevant discipline, or relevant industrial experience. Teaching commitments can be expected at both undergraduate and postgraduate level with contributions to the departments current and future degree programmes.
